Originally crafted by Kentucky Bourbon Hall-of-Famer Eddie Russell as “Wild Turkey 81”.
It features a high rye content in the mash bill and is aged in casks with a heavy char – the result of which is huge flavour and complexity. A marriage of 5-8 years old bourbon, this Wild Turkey has notes of sweet vanilla, pear, and hints of spice, finishing with a flavour that is full and rich.
Tasting Notes
NOSE: Full of fruit, butterscotch, toffee and toasted oak.
PALATE: Cigar-box sweetness, caramel, vanilla, and pear with a long finish of rich spice notes and hints of toast caramel.
FINISH: Long, supple, and clean.

Jimmy Russell is the Master Distiller at Wild Turkey and for the last 60 years has been responsible for the launches of a number of new Wild Turkey expressions, including but not limited to Tradition, Tribute, Rare Breed, American Spirit Kentucky Spirit and Russell’s Reserve, which he co-created with his son and distilling partner Eddie Russell.
As the whiskey world knows, actor, Matthew McConaughey has also served as the Creative Director for Wild Turkey since late 2016.
