Tomintoul 10 Year Old

A gentle 10 year old from the Speyside distillery, Tomintoul. Matured fully in bourbon casks. This was introduced to their range in 2002, two years after the distillery was bought by Angus Dundee.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE: Medium-body and well-balanced. There are notes of vanilla fudge and barley. Tones of malt extract and espresso, hints of mochaccino and oak.

PALATE: Pleasingly viscous, with notes of barley sugar, toasty cereals, acacia honey and malt extract. Honeycomb, toffee and a touch of vanilla fudge.

FINISH: Quite short, yet charming.

An alternative to Tomintoul 10 Year Old will be Glencadam 10 Year Old which has stronger orchard fruit note than the Tomintoul 10 Year Old.
