The Dalmore King Alexander III

40% | 70cl | Highlands

To make Dalmore King Alexander III, Master Distiller Richard Paterson selected a range of differently aged malts. Matured in a mixture of French wine casks, Madeira drums, sherry butts, Marsala barrels, port pipes and bourbon barrels from Kentucky. A remarkable feat of blending, resulting in a rich and fruity Highland single malt. 

It has a smooth texture with a rich taste that starts sweet, then dries elegantly. Cinnamon and nutmeg notes before leaving a hint of dark chocolate in the aftertaste. Water, introduces caramel and sweetens the taste overall.

For a full sherry casked matured single malt, Glenfarclas 25 Year Old or Glencadam 17 Year Old Pedro Ximinez (PX) can be considered.
