Nova is Starward’s signature single malt whisky is fully matured in Australian red wine barrels from nearby wineries, which produce a variety that include shiraz, cabernet and pinot noir wines.

With the distillery located within a day’s drive to Australia’s most famed wine regions, Starward often receives many of  the barrels within hours of being emptied. This allows them to ‘wet fill’ their barrels with new make spirit to access as much of the wine’s fruit character as possible. The result is a deliciously balanced and bold whisky made for sharing and mixing. 

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Bright flavours of red berries and orchard fruit, coated in soft oak spice. 

PALATE: Rich red berry pudding covered in vanilla, caramel and spice.

FINISH: Balanced and long. The sweetness fades and the delicious flavour goes on.
