Starward Ginger Beer Cask is an annual limited release, crafted using single malt that was first matured in Apera sherry and red wine barrels for 3 years, before being transferred into ginger beer barrels for a further 6 months. Proving once again that some distilleries will make whisky from just about any cask they can find.
Tasting Notes
NOSE: Ginger, orange and dark chocolate.
PALATE: Strong spicy ginger, fresh vanilla and pineapple.
FINISH: A big, warming mouthfeel with candied ginger and citrus.
