This 27th release of Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength comprises a mix of 60% bourbon, 35% sherry, 5% rum casks, and bottled at its natural strength of 55.9%. These cask strength releases have always been sought-after favourites among Springbank fans, and adored for their boatload of character and attitude.
NOSE: A sweet and vibrant introduction to this dram, there are notes of pineapple and banana loaf.
PALATE: A slight hint of peat smoke kicks off the palate, with notes of milk chocolate and crème brûlée.
FINISH: The sweetness continues in the finish, along with notes of cinnamon.

It is a fact that no distillery in Scotland is as self-contained as Springbank. From the malting of the barley, to the final stage of bottling, each and every step of the process is completed on site and is overseen and carried out by their team, led by their distillery manager.
Every stage of the process is carefully considered, from the source of our water in the hills around Campbeltown, to the heating of the stills, to help them maintain the quality and taste. Furthermore, their whisky is never chill filtered nor have any artificial colouring added. This ensures that the natural qualities developed during production are always present.
