Old Ballantruan is produced at the Tomintoul distillery in Speyside as is their peated version, that is distilled from heavily peated barley. It is a whisky that is different from the style usually associated with its region, as it is peated at 55 ppm. It has been aged in old bourbon casks and hogshead casks containing sherry.

TASTING NOTES
Colour : Warm-gold
Nose : Gentle waft of “peat reek”, smoked campfires and subtle citrus fruit notes
Taste : A mellow, dry peat with hints of lemon cheesecake, cocoa and shortbread
Finish : Lingering smoke and peat with a light pepper kick
