The outstanding Kilchoman Sanaig – now presented in all its natural glory! This vatting uses the same recipe as the regular Sanaig bottling, but, rather than reducing the strength to 46% abv, Kilchoman released a limited number of bottles at cask strength of 57.8% abv.

Sanaig is a combination of both oloroso sherry hogshead finishes and fully matured casks. All the sherry casks were sourced from José y Miguel Martín and the consistency of these casks is really highlighted at the higher strength. Sanaig at cask strength has an incredible combination of rich peat smoke and sweet cooked fruits with a deep long lasting glutinous finish.

Tasting notes

NOSE: Toffee sweetness and dark fruits, with red berries and smoked oak.

PALATE: Intense sweetness with spiced dark chocolate, with raisins, liquorice,  and warming rich peat smoke.

FINISH: Lingering sweetness and spices with integrated smoke throughout.
