Clarendon Distillery, located in Jamaica, is an epitome of the island’s rich and storied rum heritage. Jamaica has a tradition that spans centuries, with its distinct production techniques, ageing processes, and the unique use of “dunder” pits.

Established in the lush heartlands of the island, Clarendon benefits from a combination of fertile soil and a climate ideally suited for sugarcane cultivation. The distillery has always been an advocate for maintaining traditional methods. It’s this dedication to authenticity that allows Clarendon to produce rums with robust and intricate flavour profiles, marked by rich fruity notes, deep molasses undertones, and that unmistakable Jamaican funk that Jamaican rum aficionados treasure.

One of the noteworthy aspects of Clarendon’s production is its use of both pot and column stills. This dual approach allows for a wide range of expressions. The pot stills, traditional in design, contribute to the heavier, oilier rums rich in congeners, while the column stills produce a lighter, cleaner spirit. When blended, these rums embody the complexity and depth that have made Jamaican rums legendary.
